Tories Would All But Scrap Inheritance Tax

The Tory party has confirmed that its plans for inheritance tax would see individuals able to leave up to £1,000,000 on their death without incurring inheritance tax charges.

And with recent regulation changes, this would allow a couple to leave up to £2,000,000 to their children, on the death of the surviving spouse.

This move, up from £312,000, would see most married couples and civil partners able to leave all of their wealth to their children without the Tax Man taking a share.
