Oil Down 40%, Petrol Up

A report revealed that the average price of petrol actually increased yesterday from 112.88p per litre to 112.91p - in the same week as the price of crude oil fell 10%.

In July at the height of prices, crude oil was costing $147 per barrel. Yet it is now below $90. The average cost per litre was 113.15p per litre in August.
