Travel InsuranceTravel Insurance will cover you whilst you are on holiday - abroad or UK. A lot of travel insurance policies will cover you from the moment that you leave your house until you return safely home. They might cover you for travel delays, missed flights (e.g. because of accidents closing roads on the way to the airport), theft whilst away or illness. But not all policies over the same cover and what's best for one person might not be useful for the next. If you are intending to partake in any risk sports (Scuba Diving, Parascending, Climbing etc) then you must check that your insurance accepts this. For example, some policies ban Scuba Diving totally, others allow it to 30 metres deep (if trained to that depth, or under instruction). Travel Insurance is not currently regulated in the UK, so take care when buying a policy to ensure it covers all of your needs. |
